Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is designed to provide health care, including high-quality, comprehensive cancer care, to all Armed forces ex-servicemen and their dependents. This facility is extended either through ECHS polyclinics, regional centres, and approved private hospitals. This scheme is authorised by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India vide letter No22 (i) 01/US/D(Res) dated 30 Dec 2002.

Aster CMI Hospital is one of the ECHS empanelled hospitals for Oncology in Bangalore and we are very proud of the service rendered by our armed forces, and as our service to them and our nation, we treat patients under the ECHS facility for all types of cancer treatment as approved by the scheme. All ex-servicemen and their dependents are provided free diagnosis and treatment at Aster CMI, one of the reputed ECHS hospitals in Bangalore. Treatment provided under ECHS scheme will be as per the allopathic medical system.

The process of availing this scheme involves patients being referred to ECHS empanelled hospitals in Bangalore that is Aster CMI Hospital by ECHS clinics, polyclinics, or Regional ECHS hospitals (e.g., Command Hospital Air Force in Bangalore). Once referred, patients can contact us directly, be seen on a priority basis, and avail cancer treatments. Patients can also contact us directly, upfront, in emergencies or urgent care, and the approval can be sought later. A full range of approved cancer treatments is available with us under this scheme.
